We encourage students to bring a healthy snack for recess as well as a water bottle with a lid on it each day (all drinking containers must have a cover). Water filling stations are available at the school.
Lunch Options
- Packed lunch - microwaves, that are shared by a student's cohort, are available at lunchtime. Visit Canada's Food Guide for tips on healthy meals.
- Cafeteria - Hernewood has a cafeteria that is run by Chartwells. Chartwells Menu (PDF).
- PEI School Food Program - The Prince Edward Island Government has a school lunch program where healthy food choices are provided by local venders through a Pay What You Can program.
